The Regional Museum in Wolsztyn established in 1976 is a cultural institution subordinate to Wolsztyn Borough Council and it includes the following institutions:
- The Museum of Marcin Rożek (a beautiful villa with a marvellous garden)
- The Museum of Robert Koch (a place of mastering the anthrax bacillus)
- The Open-Air Ethnographic Museum of Folk Building in West Greater Poland (journey in time in the open air.).
Let's say that it is ''wielkopolski" thrift that has decided about existing as many as three, and so different, institutions under one management. That is why we act under the aegis of ''regional", offering profound knowledge of different domains (history, art, ethnography, bacteriology) connected one way or another with our town and its surroundings. The seat and at the same time a work place for our employees is located in the Museum of M.Rożek. That is the place where visitors can get some detailed information about our activity.

We most warmly invite to visit our institutions and simultaneously we inform they are not the only attractions of our town. A world-famous, unique and one open in Europe, the Engine House functions within the open-air ethnographic museum. The city centre, in fact without socialist realist architecture, bewitches with its high-density housing and ancient architecture, offering both calmness of a small town and the hubbub of its numerous shops and cafes. There is a place, supported by tourist accommodation options, for more active leisure (lakes, forests), too.
